With a power of attorney a lawyer can file, appear, negotiate, collect and sign on your behalf. It can be issued at a Turkish notary or, from abroad, at a Turkish consulate — or before a local notary and then apostilled and translated.
Commonly confused with
A general authority and a special authority are not the same. Certain acts — settling, withdrawing a case, selling property — must be stated expressly, or the lawyer cannot do them.

Statute: Turkish Code of Obligations (TBK) No. 6098 and Attorneyship Law No. 1136
