Power of attorney from abroad — the practical part

A power of attorney is the document that lets a Turkish lawyer act in your name. You can grant one without travelling to Türkiye, by one of two routes:

• At a Turkish consulate or embassy. The consulate in your country can issue a Turkish power of attorney directly, in Turkish, ready to use. You attend in person with your passport; we prepare the text and the list of powers in advance.
• By a local notary, then apostille. A notary where you live issues the document, you have it apostilled (or legalised, for non-apostille countries) and translated into Turkish. We tell you which route is quicker and cheaper for your jurisdiction.
