Expert reports carry real weight in Turkish civil practice — valuations, accounting, construction defects, medical questions. The parties are given a chance to object to the report, and objecting properly and on time is often where a case is won or lost.
Commonly confused with
The expert is appointed by the court, not hired by you. A private expert opinion can be submitted, but it is treated differently from the court's own report.
